Welcome to My Journey into Motherhood in Switzerland!
If you’re reading this, chances are you’re a mom-to-be, a new mom, or a parent living in Switzerland — who may have recently moved here or been here long enough to have missed a few new things that are happening!
I’m currently in my third trimester of pregnancy (26+ weeks), preparing for my first baby. As I’ve been learning more about what it means to become a mother in Switzerland, I realised how valuable it is to have a space that combines personal experiences with practical information for moms here.
That’s why I finally published this blog, after a long pause since the beginning of my pregnancy journey — a place where you’ll find both real stories and useful tips for navigating pregnancy, postpartum, and mom life in Switzerland.
🌱 Why I Started This Blog
When I first found out I was expecting, I had so many questions:
– What is pregnancy care like in Switzerland?
– Where can I shop for baby essentials in Zurich and Aargau?
– How does maternity leave in Switzerland actually work?
– What are the best baby-friendly cafés and activities for moms and little ones?
Searching online, I found a lot of general parenting advice, but not much that connected directly to the experience of moms living in Switzerland.
So I decided to create the blog I was looking for — one that shares:
– Personal reflections from a mom-to-be in Zurich
– Local tips and guides for moms in Canton Zurich & Aargau
– Gentle advice and inspiration for moms everywhere
